    RESEARCH DIRECTOR

    Ashley has more than 6 years of experience generating custom research solutions for clients in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. Her broad experience spans qualitative and quantitative primary research, secondary research, competitive intelligence, communications, and strategic brand planning. Ashley is passionate about leveraging her diverse skillset to generate actionable insights that address clients’ most complex challenges, with a particular interest in opportunity assessments, strategic landscape assessments, and patient journeys.

    Ashley began her career in basic and translational cancer research, working nearly a decade at the bench before pivoting to early commercialization work in buy-side venture capital and university tech transfer. Before joining ThinkGen, Ashley worked in market research, strategic planning, and content strategy for pharmaceutical brands, supporting clients from the earliest stages of portfolio planning and investor engagement through launch planning and communications development.

    Ashley has conducted market research across many therapeutic categories, with a particular focus on oncology and autoimmune diseases. She has also worked extensively in dermatology, infectious disease, neuroscience, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, companion diagnostics, medical devices, and cell therapies.

    Based in Chicago, Ashley holds a Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from the University of Chicago and a B.S. in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from Michigan State University.
